TERMINAL 7

TERMINAL 7 is the latest creation of Groupe Noctis which will give a new lease of life to all your events.

Pavillon 7 closed its doors in July 2015 to carry out work on a project to modernise Paris Expo in Porte de Versailles. The idea was to create permanent exhibition space to serve as a backup to Leadership Parisien which currently caters for the events and business tourism markets.

Within the framework of this spectacular urban architectural project, Group Noctis has reinvented itself. In this magical place, we are proud to present Terminal 7: -the new reception area is designed for showing films as well as catering for large events and social occasions.

Terminal 7 resembles an airport terminal which offers a window to Parisians and people around the world taking them on a real journey.

ART AT THE CENTER OF THE PROJECT

Electric Rhizome

The architectural design of Le Terminal 7 is represented by the master piece of the brazilian artist Guto Requena (« Sensitive Star », « Beyond the mirror » and « Dancing Pavilion » in Rio de Janeiro) : a monumental structure which dresses the room and represents a reversed tree whose roots are anchored in the sky, emiting playful lights.

The tree was designed by a parametric software : a series of mathematical operations generated the structure.

Guto Requena is an architect with a Master in Architecture & Urban Planning from USP - University of São Paulo. He is representative of a new generation of architects and designers involved in the discussion of interactivity and its effects on architecture and design; his work focuses in new digital technologies, cyberculture, hybrid realities, new lifestyles, affective memory and Brazilian culture.

He is creator, screenwriter and host of a show on design in cable/satellite Brazilian television channel GNT called Nos Trinques; its first season aired from March to December in 2011.

Some of his best-known works are the São Paulo nightclub Hot Hot (2009) the collection of vases “Once Upon a Time", the "Samba Collection, the 3D printed "Noize Chair", the exhibition Musical Tour of São Paulo, the interactive space for “Agência D3” (2011), and the Walmart brazilian headquarters.

In 2008, Guto founded Estudio Guto Requena. Since then, he has won several awards, and lectured and exhibited in more than 20 countries worldwide.
